4 Ways to Style Bermuda Shorts

Please know that Bermuda shorts are your summer best friend! They are chic, cool, and quite comfortable… which comfort was key for out 2020 wardrobe. While all I just listed are amazing about Bermuda shorts, the versatility of this piece will ensure that they do not go to waste on one outfit. This of how versatile the biker shorts were for the past few years! Well the Bermuda shorts are the biker shore style cousin who’s forever on vacation. I pulled together 4 looks using the City Shorts from JustFab x Kelly Rowland. These shorts are absolutely a must-have in the beige, but also available in black.

Outfit 1

An absolute way to capture summer vibes is pairing Bermuda shorts with a crop top. A crop top can be chic, just pick one like this one from Lulu’s. It has feminine touches and is a little longer so you don’t feel over-exposed. The major key to really make this look come to life is using shoes and accessories. Braided/woven leather is a major style detail for the season, nodding to Bottega Veneta, so the Aphrodite heel was perfect for this look. Lastly, the handbag and hat are classic straw. These two will instantly make your outfit look more Spring/Summer. You can add extra interest with a scarf tied on the bag.

Outfit 2

The second look is a play on a more menswear look. A linen blazer is another piece that can create a classic Spring look. It gives an outfit structure, but the lightweight fabrication is perfect for warmer temperatures. Just keep the tones simple. In this look cream, white, and beige just keeps the look effortless. For shoes you can continue the relaxed, but classic vibe. Basic shoe shapes work best. While I pulled in the Gucci New Ace sneaker, you can pair any other minimal sneaker with this outfit. Just like the other outfit, make sure the bag is on point! The dumpling bag is soft & simple in shape so it works with many looks.

Outfit 3

In the third look it’s time to put that classic white button-down to work in your wardrobe! You can do a quick front tie to give the waist shape. Another way to use your silk scarf is to quickly tie around the head. I love this style hack for days where you may need to conceal a bad hair day. Complete this look with espadrille wedges and if you have a vintage bag, grab that too! If not, any baguette style handbag is the perfect shape for this look.

Outfit 4

The final look is just a simple switch-up of the handbag and shoes. Just in case you don’t want to wear any elevated shoe, you can always pull out a slide sandal. This shoe was another JustFab find that is perfectly on trend. Again, and I can’t express it enough, braided leather is a trend that you will predominantly see. Think of it as the new classic so having it in a comfortable flat sandal is an easy way to take part in the trend. Also know that this trend has staying power. You’ll be able to hold on to any shoe with this detail into next year.
